A 3000-year-old revived fruit & nut snack. Read more...
Churchkhela is a string of walnuts dipped in fruit juice thickened with touch of flour and then hung to dry until it cures into a rich and chewy coating.
Churchkhela originated around 3000 years ago near the Black Sea region, which is now the country of Georgia.
Chella’s Churchkhela is handmade in Vancouver, Canada, using the original traditional recipe with ONLY 3 simple and natural ingredients:
- 100% natural fruit juice
- Fresh walnuts
- And a touch of flour
Our process begins by carefully stringing walnuts together. The string shows the authentic traditions used in our recipe. Don't forget to remove the string before eating!
